Evaluasi Efisiensi Kereta Api Penumpang di Pulau Jawa dengan Metode Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Tahun 2008-2010
This research aims to determine the efficiency of 50 passenger trains in Java Island during 2008-2010 by using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Input variables consist of average age of locomotives, number of trains, and energy. Output variables consist of volume of passengers, passenger kilometers, passenger train kilometers, and average speed. The results show that 31 trains are efficient in 2008 and 30 trains are efficient in 2009 and 2010. Over all, 27 trains are efficient for three consecutive years, 16 trains are inefficient, and 7 trains are fluctuated. Solution suggestion to improve efficiency is by reducing the input used.
